Why do read Marketing Pilgram?

All I can say is ,MP not just gives you excellent reading, articles, tips and tactics for your online marketing domain but also shares excellent ideas too, the way it has just done by announcing a good price to see -what and how people treats MP site,spread a word,and know more from visitors. For me I can say that it was "Online reputation Management" EBook(good book), which made me a regular visitor on your site.

At the end its clear(why I read MP) as it covers most of the verticals of Online Marketing, has great free e-books online reputation and seo,I have read both.

Social Media and Social Marketing

I have been reading "Social Marketing" term very often and thought to start my blog with this concept of "Social Media" and "Social Marketing". Wikipedia says"Social media: Anything that uses the internet to facilitate conversations" Here we have got two big words Internet, and Conversations. All these terms are too big to be explained in small write up. Well, I have given a try here..

When I say Social media, it includes Internet forums, message boards, weblogs, wikis, podcasts, pictures, and videos. Technologies such as blogs, picture-sharing, blogs, wall-postings, email, instant messaging, music-sharing, group creation, and voice over IP. Examples of social media applications are Google (reference, social networking), Wikipedia (reference), MySpace (social networking), Facebook,orkut(social networking), Last.fm (personal music), YouTube,google videos, (social networking and video sharing), Second Life (virtual reality), and Flickr,kodak(photo sharing). And When I say "Social Marketing", it includes marketing on and via all above said platforms( internet forums, community sites, message boards, emails, podcasts..!)

I know,curious mind will ask...What all I need to know to start doing "Social Marketing"? Well, just stay tuned to this blog ! Thread has just got started :)
